- CHAKKAR RUG RANGE is a gorgeous blend of sustainable jute and recycled cotton in rich dark tones. Hand loomed in India; the style of weave is an attractive braided stripe design. Please note that since every rug is hand woven with a mix of natural and random materials, they may vary from the photographs shown.
- CHOOSE FROM SIX SIZES - If you are looking to mix and match a little then you will find six sizes to choose from. - ETHICALLY SOURCED - Produced by one of our favourite GoodWeave suppliers and part of a closed network of certified producers. Each rug is individually numbered so that you can be sure of its unique handling and its ethical source. Our certification fees help to fund premises inspection and education centres for children and young people.
- ECO-FRIENDLY - Made with two eco-friendly materials: sustainable jute and recycled cotton. Jute comes from one of the fastest growing plant types and its long, strong fibres make it ideal for weaving. Recycled cotton is made from materials which would otherwise have gone to waste. Energy efficient too - the flat weave style is hand woven on a traditional loom and no machinery is involved.
- CARE OF YOUR RUG - The finished piece is reversible meaning that it can be rolled up when not in use. It can be shaken, or spot cleaned if necessary. If placing on a hard floor with heavy footfall, then you may wish to use rug mesh or similar to hold the rug in place. Take care to avoid colour transfer if the rug becomes damp or in contact with sensitive surfaces.
