Executive produced by Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, he and filmaker Edgar Wright worked on the soundtrack to the latter's Scott Pilgrim Vs the World for two years. The album includes a number of original tracks composed by Beck and performed in the film by Sex Bob-Omb--the band featuring star Michael Cera on bass--along with a previously unreleased track from Metric and tracks from Broken Social Scene, Beachwood Sparks, The Bluetones, Blood Red Shoes, Black Lips and Frank Black. There's also room for classics from Marc Bolan & T. Rex and the Rolling Stones.
