The twin stretch needle is the needle for hemming jersey fabrics when no coverlock machine is available. The special design of the twin stretch needle can avoid mistakes. The plunger is flattened stronger at the same diameter than other needles. This means that the needle is denser on the gripper, which also acts against mistakes. Twin stretch needles are only suitable for zigzag machines with transverse grippers. Use a zigzag stitch plate with slotted stitch hole and a zigzag stitch presser foot.
