The two-part insulation of the Schellenberg blind box increases the comfort of your home and is a very effective insulation for large roller blinds. Compared to a non-insulated blind box, insulation reduces heat loss by up to 70%. In addition, it reduces noise from the outside. An insulating mat and an insulation wedge belong to this two-part insulation of the Schellenberg blind box. Both parts can be easily connected and installed with tongue and slot. Insulating Mat: The insulating mat has a material thickness of 25 mm and consists of three layers: a NEOPOR® board (WLG 031), a diffusion separator layer and a polystyrene board (WLG 035). This structure ensures optimal protection against frost, draughts, noise, moisture and mildew. The breathable diffusion separator layer allows moisture (condensation) to escape outwards. It also prevents cold draughts from escaping inwards. Insulated Wedge - The bottom of the blind box is insulated with the NEOPOR® insulation wedge included in the set. NEOPOR® has very good insulation and acoustic properties. These advantages of the material are based on the special form of the insulating wedge which allows the wedge to be installed in a way that saves space. The wedge can be easily cut to size (cutting aid) and extended (intelligent plug-in extension system).
