These handmade, fair trade and eco friendly sari stationery sets are made by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. We are a fair trade company and regularly visit our suppliers to ensure the highest standards are met. We quality control all our products to ensure that you only receive the best products. We pay our suppliers 50% upfront and send money to them whenever they need it. We never send anything back or not pay for damaged goods. We use a bonus system for the staff and they can earn up to 5% of our total order value which can give them an extra month’s wages per year. The saris come from Varanasi, one of the most religious cities in the world and a centre of excellence for sari making. We use new saris as we cannot guarantee the cleanliness of recycled saris and cannot always get the correct styles and designs. These stationery sets have 20 sheets of khadda paper and 10 envelopes. Khadda is recycled cotton that has been left over from the massive garment industry in India. It is handmade and doesn’t contain any chemicals as we use only unbleached cotton. The paper is made by charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages. These stationery sets come with an attractive sari covered handmade paper box and tied with a coloured silk bow. The dimensions are of these sari stationery sets are 170 x 230 mm.
