Samyang's 50mm T1.5 AS UMC VDSLR lens is designed as a video lens for cameras and camcorders fitted with full-frame (24x36mm) or smaller sensors. With full-frame cameras, it gives 46.2 degrees field of view and thanks to high brightness value of T1.5 and decoupled aperture, it performs well in poor lighting conditions, ensuring impressive image quality and shallow depth of field. The optics consist of nine lens elements arranged in six groups (including one aspherical and one hybrid aspherical lens element). To ensure high contrast and true colour reproduction, all lens elements have multi-layered UMC anti-reflective coatings. The Samyang 50mm T1.5 VDSLR ensures exceptionally smooth and aesthetic mapping for out of focus areas (Bokeh effect) beyond the focal plane, thanks to the eight-bladed aperture.
