Salvia Lips Collection produces 3 different varieties of flowers of cherry-red, royal-purple and candy-pink. This drought friendly plant will produce sweet scented blooms, sure to attract the pollinating insects, making this collection perfect for wildlife areas; as well as patio pots, boarders and containers! Rich fragrant flowers from sunny July through to October. Height: 90cm (35in). Spread: 60cm (24in). The collection contains: Salvia ‘Hot Lips’ Salvia ‘Cherry Lips’ Salvia ‘Amethyst Lips’ Pot up salvia plants into pots of free-draining compost, and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. When all risk of frost has passed and plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Plant salvias outdoors in moist, well drained soil, and situated in a sheltered spot in full sun. Feed and water regularly until fully established. Although perennial, this Salvia will require some winter protection in all but the mildest areas of the UK. If growing it in containers, it can be moved to a cold greenhouse or conservatory over the winter months. Prune lightly in late spring when new growth appears to remove dead stems and maintain a bushy habit.
