• Tough 1200D Teflon coated waterproof/breathable outer fabric with a 400g filling and soft nylon lining to keep coat smooth and help prevent rubbing. The Teflon coating ensures the outer is more stain and moisture resistant, because of this rain beads off making it less heavy and quick to dry out
• Shoulder gussets feature which allow the pony freer movement and help to prevent friction to the coat
• Double adjustable chest straps with D rings and trigger clips making putting on and off quick and easy. Detachable webbing leg straps and double cross surcingles with rubber washers
• Reflective strips on the chest, hind quarters and tail flap which are most useful especially if have to lead on roads
• Wither protector fitted for the comfort of the pony and Velcro fastenings either side of protector for fastening the neck if one required (listed separately) – there is a flap over the Velcro to protect if a neck is not required
• The rug is machine washable and comes packed in a zipped bag with handles – ideal for storing the rug when not in use.

The Shetland-miniature-donkey 400g V2 turnout rug is an ideal rug in colder weather or for clipped ponies. There are matching neck covers which are available separately and the rug is also suitable for small ponies such as Section A’s. The rug is made from 1200D waterproof and breathable outer fabric (5000mm/5000g/m2/24hrs) which has also been Teflon coated which makes it even tougher and more resistant to moisture and staining. The underside of the rug has a soft nylon lining which helps to prevent rubbing and keep the coat smooth and shoulder gussets feature which allow the pony freer movement and helps to prevent friction to the coat. There is a generous tail flap with reflective strip. The rug has double detachable webbing leg straps – the advantage here being they are easy to remove if not required or to replace if damaged as they are not sewn in. The surcingle straps are adjustable and have rubber washers to help stop them unfastening. At the chest there are double adjustable straps with D rings and strong durable trigger clips – so once the straps are adjusted to fit the pony putting on and taking off at the chest is quick and easy as just two clips to fasten and unfasten.
