• Tough 1200D Teflon coated waterproof/breathable outer fabric with a 400g filling and soft nylon lining to keep coat smooth and help prevent rubbing. The Teflon coating ensures the outer is more stain and moisture resistant, because of this rain beads off making it less heavy and quick to dry out
• Shoulder gussets feature which allows freer movement and helps to prevent friction on the coat
• Double adjustable chest straps with D rings and trigger clips making putting on and off quick and easy. Detachable webbing leg straps and double cross surcingles with rubber washers
• Reflective strips on the chest, hind quarters and tail flap which are most useful especially if have to lead on roads
• Wither protector fitted for comfort and Velcro fastenings either side of protector for fastening the neck if one required (listed separately) – there is a flap over the Velcro to protect if a neck is not required
• Machine washable and are packed in a zipped bag with handles – useful for storing the rug when not in use.

The heavy horse heavyweight 400g V2 1200D turnout rug has been designed specifically so fit the heavier breeds such as the Shire, Clydesdale, Percheron and so on so are deeper and more generous at the shoulder and chest. The rug is sold as a standard rug and necks covers can be purchased, if required. The necks are listed separately. Made from 1200d waterproof and breathable outer fabric, this rug has also been Teflon coated which provides extra protection, less staining and absorption so moisture beads from the outside of the rug making the rug lighter to handle in wet conditions. The heavy horse 400g 1200D rug has been cut extra deep and generously at the chest to ensure a good fit on these broader builds of horse. The rug has a soft nylon lining to help prevent rubbing and keep the coat smooth. Taped seams. Other features of this rug are cross surcingles with rubber washers to help unfastening, a very generous tail flap with reflective strip, taped seams, generous shoulder pleat to allow for freer movement of the horse and a wither protector. There are detachable webbing leg straps which are not sewn in – meaning that they can be removed if not required or easily replaced (without the need for expensive repairs) if damaged. At the chest there are double adjustable chest straps with D rings and quick release clips ensuring that once adjusted to the horse putting on and off is nice and quick as just two clips to attach. Velcro at the chest also features. Either side of the wither protector are Velcro fastenings for attaching a neck cover if required – the matching necks are listed separately.
