The Shetland-miniature-donkey-Section A middleweight 280g combo turnout rug is a most useful rug in colder months for unclipped ponies or for Spring and Autumn use. The rug is made from 1200d waterproof and breathable outer fabric which has also been Teflon coated which provides more protection and more resistance to moisture and staining. The underside of the rug has soft nylon lining to help prevent rubbing and keep the coat smooth and shoulder gussets allow the pony easier movement which also helps to prevent friction to the coat. There is a tail flap with reflective strip and there are webbing detachable leg straps – the advantage here being that they are simple to remove if not required or replace if damaged as there is no stitching required. At the chest there are double adjustable chest straps with D rings and quick release clips – so once the straps are adjusted for the size of the pony the rug is quick and easy to put on and off. There is also Velcro for extra security. The neck has double adjustable kit kat fastenings and a particularly nice feature is the elasticated poll which helps to keep the neck in place and prevent so much rain/wind going down the mane line. There are reflective strips at the chest, hind quarters and tail flap which are particularly beneficial if having to lead on roads.
