- RUDBECKIA GOLDSTRUM SEEDS: A rewarding, long flowering perennial with large golden, daisy-like blooms from late summer to autumn. Perfect for sunny or partially shaded, mixed borders.
- Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance.
- SOW: February to June, FLOWERS: July to October, HEIGHT: 75cm, SPREAD: 45cm, SEEDS: 200 Approx.
- FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN - February to April. WHERE – In trays of seed compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20℃. Seedlings appear 14-28 days. CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 40cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free. FLOWERS – July to October, the following year.
- FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN - May to June. WHERE – In a prepared seed bed in flowering position. HOW - Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil and keep moist. CARE - When large enough to handle thin to 10cm apart. Transplant 40cm apart in flowering position from September to October. FLOWERS – August to October, the following year.
- TIP: Once established divide plants in autumn or spring.
