• Square latches can be found on the wing of double wing doors to lock them at the top and bottom. They are recessed into the door/window edge, so that they can only be seen and operated when the element is open. The lower door bolt moves out a latch shoe when locked, which then protrudes into an opening of the corresponding floor strike plate. The upper edge bolt drives its bolt shoe into a strike plate, which is embedded at the top of the door frame.

The Roto edge latch ensures the opening and closing of double-leaf windows or balcony doors.
