• Nashua 2280 Multi-Purpose Duct Tape is a polyethylene-coated cloth tape with a natural rubber adhesive. The tape is used for temporary holding and bonding, bundling, sealing, patching, for closing and reinforcing packaging and for temporary repairs.
• PolyNash 2280 has a high-tack adhesive which bonds well to a wide variety of smooth and rough surfaces; has a flexible PE backing which conforms well to irregular surfaces and shapes; offers a smooth, consistent unwind providing ease of use in manual applications; its easy-tear cloth provides clean, consistent tears by hand; and it resists twisting & curling to provide ease of application reducing waste.
• This product used to be referred to as both Polyken GP2280 and Nashua 2280 (Polyken and Nashua are both owned by Berry Plastics) and now comes in the following 11 colors: black, blue, brown, burgundy, green, olive drab, red, silver, tan, white and yellow.
• Carrier/Backing: polyethylene (PE) coated cloth. Adhesive: natural rubber. Thickness: 9 mils (carrier, adhesive). Adhesion: 70 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel). Tensile Strength: 24 pounds per inch (longitudinal).
• Service/Operating Temperature: 40F to 200F. Elongation: 20%. Flame Spread Index: 5. Smoke Development Index: 0. VOC Content: < 3 g/L. Standards Met: UL723; can contribute toward satisfying EQ Credit 4.1 (Low Emitting Materials) under LEED. Core: 3-inch diameter.
