This is a brand new high quality handcrafted item.This still is the best choice to produce essential oils or to produce alcoholic drinks with added flavours. If distilling alcohol it can be used to add 'special' flavours by placing herbs,spices or fruits in the column. Copper is vastly superior to other materials(stainless steel for example) since it helps to eliminate sulfates, reduces bacterial contamination and conducts heat better. No wonder that most distilleries use copper stills. These copper stills are ideal not only for professional use, but also for household use, especially to make floral waters, essential oils , spirituous drinks and for other distillation purposes. If distilling alcoholic drinks with this still , the mash/wash should be placed in the pot(just like in the traditional alembic still) , aromatic herbs/spices/fruits can be placed in the column.For second distillation the column can be removed and the top placed directly on the pot.
