Rotabroach Mag Drill Cutter 46mm - SRC460 Rotabroach's unique M2 high speed steel cutter. Designed for low wear and high performance. Perfect for general engineering, construction and fabrication for material with a hardness less than 700N/mm². FEATURES: Tighter shank tolerance than other brands. A smaller shank tolerance will reduce cutter concentricity when in rotation thus reducing the chance of breakages 20 Degree clearance angle which reduces vibration in hole cutting Each cutter has a batch code consisting of: Material batch, Heat treatment process, Production process and Date of manufacture M2 material has a hardness of HRC63-65 Heat treatment - With Step-hardening process. The hardness on the teeth is HRC65-67 while the shank is HRC50-60. This can reduce cutter breakage significantly as it becomes less brittle 4.6mm wall thickness (more than other brands) which provides the cutter with more strength. Wider dish increases friction which is why Rotabroach have an additional 0.15mm step. This design gives increased strength but with reduced friction.
