UV filters are one of the optical lens attachments that are still used today. Mainly the special filters ensure that the ultraviolet content in sunlight is specifically blocked and cannot lead to unwanted colour distortion. The UV light invisible to human eyes can also have a slight disturbing effect on image sharpness – especially with very strong detail magnifications. By taking an extremely hot bath in a specially mixed liquid, the ions are exchanged at the molecular level - and give the glass an extreme resistance.
