Product Description The ultraviolet radiation is not visible to the human eye, but can lead to unwanted optical effects in photography: on the one hand, it also known as Raleigh radiation in the natural stray light causes a strong blue coloration, which is often only noticeable in full later - on the other hand, the chromatic deposition of high UV light particles leads to blur in the image. To effectively prevent these effects, special UV blocking filters are also popular today. But UV filter – and especially the very robust Rollei Extremium round filters UV – have another task: Since they affect the transmitted light only minimally and hardly obscure it, they simply remain on the lens as additional protection. High quality and valuable lenses normally require time and cost effective repair if the front lens is damaged.
