A tripod is not only a must when you are doing long time exposure but also in macro photography. The exact focusing is only possible if the camera is mounted firmly and positioned correctly. Despite the undeniable advantages the tripod is often missing if it is needed the most. The reason is easy: A solid tripod is bulky and weighs a lot. Often it does not fit inside a regular suitcase even if it is put inside diagonally and while hiking nobody wants to carry added ballast weight for a long time. Normal travelling tripods are smaller and lighter, but most of them do not have the stability that is needed for a huge DSLR or system camera with a lens. The Rollei Compact Traveler Mini M1 combines all the advantages of a travelling tripod with the load capacity of a stable one. It is made of lightweight aluminum and weighs only 800 g including the ball head. The legs have 5 segments and it has a folded size of only 15 cm – therefore the Rollei Compact Traveler Mini M1 is only as large as a palm of a hand. Fully extended it has a working height between 16 and 47 cm which is perfect for macro photography. It can carry up to 8 kg which is enough for a DSLR camera with a large lens. Within the set a ball head is included that can be rotated by 180° and can fixed with only one screw. You camera can be easily attached with the delivered quick release plate with integrated spirit levels for exact positioning. The tripod legs can be moved up and down and the center column can also be inserted the other way round – which is an important feature for taking pictures near the ground within the micro and macro photography.
