From early summer, this compact shrub is covered in cup-shaped blooms, only lasting 1 day but soon replaced by another. The narrow green leaves form a neatly rounded evergreen shrub, perfect in gravel gardens and sunny borders. Although it is quite tolerant of colder temperatures surviving down to -5°C, it is best to plant in an area where there is some protection from winter winds. Rock Roses likes to be planted in full sun, in well-drained soil. It will grow very well in poor soil and in particularly is good next to the coast.
