The band's first album around numerous GROUNDATION musicians appears on the French label SOULBEATS. While GROUNDATION mastermind and lead singer HARRISON STAFFORT has been pursuing ambitious solo excursions away from his main band for some time under the alias PROFESSOR, his no less first-class GROUNDATION - fellow comrades are now broken up as RISING TIDE and present their self-titled debut album. MARCUS URANI (keyboards / producer), RYAN NEWMAN (bass), KIM POMMELL and SHERIDA SHARPE (vocals) as well as JASON ROBINSON (Saxophone, Flute) have known themselves for years as a foundation tribal cast, Paul Spina (drums), Kerry Ann Morgan (vocals) as well as the renowned New Yorker Yorker jazzguitar rist YOTAM SILBERSTEIN complement the experienced team perfectly. So it is not surprising that the eleven songs often remind of GROUNDATION, this distinctive melange of worn-spherical roots reggae that incorporates progressive and jazzy elements so light-footed and playful. 'Rising Tide', thematically an ode to nature and Mother Earth, is a symphonic work in which organically produced reggae provides the basis for indulgent excursions into the worlds of jazz, dub, funk and soul.
