- RHODOCHITON PURPLE BELL VINE SEEDS: A perennial vine usually grown as an annual, with heart shaped leaves and unique. Pendant flowers. Grow outdoors in a sunny location, also suitable for a conservatory.
- Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance.
- SOW: January to March, FLOWERS: July to October, HEIGHT: 3m, SPREAD: 45cm, SEEDS: 15 Approx.
- FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN - January to March. WHERE – In trays of seed compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover lightly with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20℃. Germination may be slow and erratic. Seedlings appear 14-42 days. CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant to individual 7.5cm pots.
- Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 60cm apart in flowering position. Plants should be trained up support as they develop. Keep moist and weed free especially in containers. FLOWERS – July to October, the same year.
- TIP: Trim back and overwinter outdoor plants indoors or in a greenhouse.
