This lightweight, single-bulb operating unit with integrated reflector combines a HO-T5 fluorescent tube with a reliable, flicker-free electronic ballast and all the necessary mounting accessories. The Eco T5 unit features a removable 103° reflector that allows wide light diffusion due to its uncoated, highly reflective surface, providing one of the best possible results for a device of this type. The fluorescent tube has been designed to recreate the profile of sunlight as accurately as possible. As a full spectrum lamp with balanced amount of UVA and UVB, it has excellent natural colour rendering. The need for high-quality UV lighting is also well known for reptiles to form vitamin D3 through UV radiation. This process is self-regulating and vital for reptiles to absorb calcium from their food and thus eliminate or minimize the risk of various bone diseases. The most modern and knowledgeable way to determine your reptile's UV needs is to use the Ferguson zones. These zones are divided into UV requirements and natural care features for the selected species.
