This buffalo drum is a modern development based on a Native American design. Inspired by the ethnic cultures of the Americas, they are pretuned with a medium-low pitch and played with a mallet. The heads are made from Fiberskin 3 which provides an outstanding authentic ethnic drum sound with dark, warm, round tones. The drum comes with a rope handle and a mallet. The plain hed can be self-decorated to make your own unique drum head. You can play Remo's Buffalo drum in virtually any weather condition and they will keep their pitch sounding great. Remo's Standard Buffalo drums are manufactured with Remo's Fiberskyn drumheads and patented ACOUSTICON drum shells. These drum shells produce the same tonal characteristic found on traditional wood shell drums with excellent projection and enhanced low-pitched fundamentals.
