Description German Army Service Watch with Strap. These brand new reproduction German Army Service wristwatches are based on a 1938 model. Service watches were commonly made for the German Army by both Swiss and German watch manufacturers. Often watches were made to order and were stamped on the back with the service member's pay number. These watches were meant to be returned after the individual left military service.
