Red Spider Mite Treatment - Amblyseius Andersonii 20 sachets

• 20 sachets each containing a breeding colony of Amblyseius andersoni- a tiny predatory mite that will eat red spider mite.
• Each sachet contains the colony plus food. The colony will remain active for 6-8 weeks during which time approx 250 mites will be released from each sachet onto your plants
• They will feed on red spider mite if they are present but will also attack other mites such as cyclamen mite and can feed on thrip, fungal spores and plant sap
• If you have had red spider mite in previous years place sachets in the green house when temperatures average 10C and plants start into growth. This is a preventative treatment-the Amblyseius lie in wait for the red spider mite to arrive.

Amblyseius andersoni is a low / high temperature predator, for red spider mite, which can be introduced late / early in the season when temperatures are lower (it only needs a temperature of 10c). Amblyseius andersoni is supplied in sachets with each sachet containing a colony of Amblyseius and a supply of food which will last them for up to 6-8 weeks. During this time the adult Amblyseius will emerge and search for RSM on your plants to eat. If there are none they will search out other sources of food such as pollen, fungal spores and plant sap and wait for the red spider mite to arrive. Introduce when temperatures average 10C/50F (normally mid Feb onwards) and new growth appears on plants. In warmer situations i.e. in heated greenhouses / grow tents they can be used all year round.
