Product description
Grow your own delicious raspberries in your garden and achieve early summer crops with Raspberry 'Malling Minerva'. These canes begin fruiting in June each year and the spineless plants make harvesting the heavy crops a breeze! Youโll be enjoying bowlfuls of delicious, firm freshly harvested raspberries in no time โ fruits have a good shelf life and you can freeze any surplus for later in the year. All of our raspberries have been inspected by the Ministry of Agriculture for pests and diseases and certified. The bare root plants are hand graded and carefully selected before packing. Grow summer fruiting raspberry plants in a sunny position in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. The stems of these long-caned summer fruiting raspberries will require support. Summer fruiting raspberries fruit on the previous seasonโs growth. Leave unpruned after planting. This cane will go on to produce fruit next summer, at the same time, new shoots will grow from the roots. Once fruit has been picked the original cane should be removed and the new shoots left to grow to produce fruit the following year.
