This small trees is a relative of the better known Japanese Loquat (Japanese Medlar) but with smaller, bright orange fruits, ripening in Autumn and attracting wildlife. Its other attraction is the bronze coloured foliage in Spring, although its toothed leaves are quite decorative all year round. Limited winter hardiness: perhaps -5C, but it is well suitable to be grown in a large pot.
