As the smaller of the two Veil XP Packs, this 20L backpack best serves the most minimalist-minded multi-day mountain runners. Rab made the pack out of siliconized ripstop and fully taped seams for ruggedly reliable waterproof protection, and the roll-top closure further enhances the pack’s weather coverage. With a double sternum strap, the wider shoulder straps feel more like a running vest than a backpack, and they have multiple pockets for flasks and more. The back panel is mostly mesh for moisture-wicking, quick-drying comfort, and the webbing belt boasts laser-cut ventilation that dials in airy comfort as well as a secure fit.
