Discuss color changes with your veterinarian) Directions First, you’ll need to establish what color is “normal” for your unique cat. This will be your baseline for all future color comparisons. ESTABLISHING YOUR BASELINE: 1. Start with a clean box. Fill with 2 to 3 inches of Alert. 2. Within 2 hours of use, compare litter crystals to color guide. 3. Keep observing the color, since it can vary naturally throughout the day, particularly 1 to 2 hours after eating. After 5 days, determine the most common color within the normal range. This is your baseline. NOTE: If the color remains outside of the normal range, call your veterinarian. READING YOUR RESULTS: Once you’ve established a baseline color for your cat, monitor the litter box daily.
