Product description Pro Copper is a concentrated equine copper supplement delivering 250mg of elemental copper per serving. Formulated to help address copper deficiencies commonly found in grass, hay, and haylage. Copper is an essential trace mineral that plays a wide-ranging nutritional role in the normal repair, maintenance, and development of hooves, joints, bones, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. It is also required for the normal production of melanin — the pigment that gives hair its colour — helping to maintain normal coat, mane, and tail condition and pigmentation. Copper is also necessary for the normal mobilisation of stored iron in the body and contributes to normal haemoglobin levels. Copper absorption is complex, as it interacts with several other trace elements, which can affect its availability in the equine diet — making targeted supplementation particularly valuable for horses on forage-based diets. Key Ingredient Copper — 250mg elemental copper per serving — An essential trace mineral included to contribute to normal hoof health and integrity, normal bone, joint, tendon, ligament, and cartilage health, normal coat pigmentation (including melanin production), normal iron metabolism, and normal haemoglobin levels. Carrier: Dicalcium phosphate. Directions Suggested Intake: For a 500kg horse feed one x 5ml scoop per day. For a 300kg pony feed 0.5 x 5ml scoop per day.
