Growing Instructions Plant between September-mid December, before the ground freezes. Loosen the soil to a depth of around 30cm and mix in organic matter to improve the drainage and soil quality. Use a hand trowel or bulb planter and dig a hole which is 30cm deep. Place the bulb with the pointed end facing upwards. Gently cover the bulb and lightly compress the soil.
