Product description Porus One is a product for the kidneys in cats. Porus One can help absorb the precursors of so-called uremic toxins, i.e. kidney toxins, at the site of their formation in the intestine and can remove them with the feces. All Porus One balls can be completely eliminated. Porus One itself is not metabolised and therefore does not strain the cat's metabolism. What are uremic toxins and where do they occur? These precursors are then absorbed and pass through the blood to the liver, where they are converted into the actual uremic toxins (= kidney toxins). The uremic toxins then pass through the blood to the kidney, where they are excreted in the urine. This happens daily and continuously, because the cat consumes many proteins and thus amino acids. This is usually easy for the cat. In special life situations, however, it can be helpful to reduce these uremic toxins (= kidney toxins) when they accumulate in the blood. It is known that uremic toxins can directly damage the kidneys and other organs when accumulated in the blood. By reducing protein intake in the feed, the amount of uremic toxins (= kidney toxins) can be reduced. However, it is also possible to simply bind the precursors of uremic toxins already in the intestine and excrete with the feces. No uremic toxins can be formed from this and the cat does not have to do without tasty proteins. What is Porus One? You can imagine Renaltec balls like small vacuum cleaners for the precursors of uremic toxins (= kidney toxins), which trap the precursors inside the beads and then excrete with the feces.
