About this item
- Ceratophyllum demersum, or hornwort, is a fast-growing aquarium plant with fine whorled stems. It takes up the nutrients algae feed on, which makes it a useful choice for a newly set up tank.
- Supplied weighted, ready to drop in. Area/Height: Background up to 120cm --- Important!!! Should not be burried to the substrate as will rot. Must be left float or tied to a rock, wood or any other object that sinks.
- LIGHT AND TEMPERATURE: Strong / 1-28 degrees C — both sit within the range of a standard tropical community setup, so no specialist lighting or heating is needed.
- GROWTH AND pH: very fast / 6-9 — a wide tolerance that suits soft and hard water areas alike, so in most tap-water tanks no adjustment is needed.
- Water softness/CO2: Soft to very hard / 10-20 mg/l. Floating plants multiply across the surface, so expect to thin them by hand. Surface cover reduces the light reaching algae growing below.

The package was here in Australia from England in a few days — so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
