PolarPro BaseCamp VND Kit The PolarPro BaseCamp VND kit is a beautifully finished filter holder with filters. The BaseCamp VND kit includes a filter holder with lens hood and flag, an EVA Case, clamping rings, 77mm and 82mm Thread Plate, a VND 2-5 stops filter and a CPOL filter. It is specially designed for filming or photographing landscapes, but can also be used in other situations. The filter holder with lens hood First you mount the Thread Plate on your camera. Then you place the filter holder according to the PolarPro SnapOn principle on the plate, so you do not need any other tools. To keep the whole system as light as possible, all elements and accessories are made of lightweight aluminium. On the filter holder there is a lens hood and a flag. The lens hood prevents incoming light and lens flare. This allows you to retain more detail in your footage. The lens hood also provides extra protection for a fixed filter during use and transportation. The lens hood and/or flag are not required to use the filter holder and can be removed if necessary. CPOL filter In the filter holder there is a circular polarising filter groove in which the CPOL filter can easily be inserted. The filter is fixed with a slide and on the side of the filter holder there is a dial to control the polarization of the filter. This system is light tight so that false light does not get a chance. It is important that the letters on the CPOL filter point outwards. The VND 2-5 filter The supplied VND filter has a small piece of extra aluminium at the top to hold the filter in place, thus preventing fingerprints on the filter. The filter holder has a slide to insert a filter. The slide is closed at the bottom and suitable for a square VND filter. The complete securing of the filter is done by means of a rotary knob on the side of the filter holder. By adjusting the CPOL filter you can change between 2 and 5 stops. The Thread Plate With a Thread Plate you can turn the entire filter holder 360 degrees without having to remove it from your camera. On top of the filter holder there is a dial to tighten the Thread Plate completely or to loosen it a bit to be able to rotate it. This kit comes with two Thread Plates, one of 77mm and one of 82mm. PolarPro also has separate Thread Plates with dimensions of 67mm and 72mm. EVA case for safe transport The filter holder comes with a sturdy EVA case to transport the filter holder. The case with handle has large zip pulls that can also be used with gloves on. The filter holder with CPOL and filter with fits entirely in the bag. You also get a cloth to easily wipe away any fingerprints.
