But having to master the cumbersome task of reading music can be demotivating and thus often spoils the party. To prevent this, this book features colorcoded notes. Matching notes to the corresponding color of a (piano) key, xylophone bar or similar is easily done even by very small children – and it’s fun, too! Playing by colors ensures lasting motivation while reading music will come playfully along the way. All songs are arranged for easy playability and don’t exceed the span of one octave (C-C), so they can be played on most children’s instruments without any problems. Furthermore, we included chord symbols so you can play these songs together with your child. And if your instrument at home doesn’t have colored keys (or doesn’t match the colors used here), you’ll like the colored labels included at the end of the book.
