Plastic Visual Reward chart (Italian)
About this item
- A great tool to help motivate users to behaving in appropriate manners.
- Both board and symbols are made from plastic so they are incredible durable and hardwearing
- The board is A4 in size – which is a good size for both display on the wall and also to keep on the desk for easy access and reference. The symbols themselves are 4.5cm square, again easy to both see and handle.
- Includes 12 different common rewards, along with the 5 stars that are awarded as the person works towards their reward. However, we also use hook and loop fasteners with our products, to ensure that the board is also compatible with your existing symbol library.
- Uses the same symbols as the Boardmaker software, which are the images that most schools and facilities rely on. This means that individuals are likely to already be familiar with the symbols used which can be extremely important when trying to encourage the use of the product. The images are Mayer-Johnson images, by Dynavox Mayer-Johnson, and are used with permission.
Product description
Product Description The Reward Chart by Autism Supplies and Developments is an extremely useful motivating tool to help people to manage their own behaviour. The person first selects the reward that they would like to work towards getting. 12 common rewards are included, though because the board uses hook and loop fastenings it is compatible with your existing symbol library. The person can then begin to earn stars by doing a number of pre-agreed things. This could be behaving in a certain manner, not doing something, or completing a list of tasks. Once they have collected 5 stars, they receive their reward. It is usually best for the person to earn stars, but not lose them for subsequent negative behaviour. Losing them can be extremely demoralising, and can appear to the person to be ‘cancelling out’ their earlier good work. This can lead to them losing faith in the system and becoming unwilling to work towards any further stars. The board itself is A4 in size, meaning that it is easily portable from room to room, and even between different environments (such as home and school), so the person always has their familiar tool with them. It is made from plastic, so it can withstand a great deal in terms of coping with the stressors of daily life. The symbols are 4.5cm squares, also made from plastic, so they are also extremely durable and hardwearing. Designed initially for autistic children, it has been used successfully with a wide age range and also alternative diagnoses such as learning disabilities, ADHD and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). It has also been used in pre-schools and other early years setting extremely successfully. Being made from plastic means that both the board and symbols are flexible, yet remain strong and extremely durable. This product is part of the Autism Supplies and Developments range of visual communication aids, which were originally designed to help our own autistic son. With over 30 years professional and personal experience being with those on the spectrum, you can be sure that these products are well designed and helpful. Safety Warning This product is not a toy. For use under direct supervision by a responsible adult. Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts being a choking hazard.

I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.
The package was here in Australia from England in a few days — so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
