Picture mounts can be used without a frame, but they are primarily designed to fit inside a picture frame to create a border around the outside of the picture. For this reason there are 2 sets of dimensions to look out for. 1. Frame Size or Outer Size – this should be the same size as the glass inside your frame. 2. Picture Size or Inner Size – this should be a few mm smaller than the edge of the picture.
