Philadelphus 'Starbright' is covered with larger than usual fragrant, large flowers in early summer. Spring brings purple-tinged new growth that quickly changes to classic vibrant green foliage, against which the flowers really stand out. A medium sized, hardy, deciduous shrub, 'Starbright' can be used as a specimen plant or is equally at home in a mixed border. Grow Philadelphus in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant at the same depth as they were planted in their pots, backfill the hole and water well to settle the soil. Mature height and spread: 250 x 200cm. Ideal for Cottage Gardens, Scented Gardens, Wildlife Gardens, Low Maintenance Garden, as a Specimen Plant. Supplied as 1 x 3-litre potted plant.
