Product description

Manufacturer's Description Each of the heads on this pair of mallets are made from a hard rubber bulb wrapped in tightly wound yarn. These types of beater are most frequently used with vibraphones and marimbas, as the cushioning effect of the woollen layer both protects the delicately tuned bars from damage and brings out the characteristic low-pitched resonance of the instruments. This hard pair will produce a moderate attack sound too making them particularly suited to the higher register and bringing out important melodic lines when playing in ensembles. They could also be used to produce a warmer tone than unwrapped soft sticks from instruments without resonators such as the xylophone. This listing is for 2 beaters only (1 pair). Every pair of Percussion Plus beaters is made in the renowned Leicestershire workshop by our team of experienced craftsmen. You simply won't find better quality for the price! We cater for players of any standard, and the versatile range of beaters, mallets, and sticks we offer includes the perfect match for any percussion instrument you can think of. I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.

The package was here in Australia from England in a few days — so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
