Modern device safety fuses with ceramic body offer a much higher level of protection against damage to the gauge when triggered than conventional glass fuses. Due to the larger design, a voltage surge between the internal fuse holders of modern measuring devices can be effectively prevented even at high voltages of the test currents. Fuses triggered must only be replaced with replacement fuses of the same type and specifications to ensure the safety of the device and thus the safety of the user in future measurements.
