This floating locket has a glass front and back and the metal is stainless steel so is therefore hypoallergenic. The floating nature of the charms means that they 'float' around the locket. they are not affixed down. The locket is openable therefore great care must be taken. It secures itself closed with strong magnets and you can open by opening it like a book. The opening nature means that they are perfect for adding in your own tiny items such as a lock of hair. It also means that you can adjust your charms if one has flipped back to front. Lockets are wrapped in a lovely light colour tissue paper and comes with a kraft pillow box then placed in a envelope. PLEASE NOTE: These lockets are held closed by a magnet, they still need handling with care. If you are planning to put very sentimental items such as ashes, photo, hair etc inside then i would stringly recommend popping a dab of glue to permanently close the locket.
