Product description The UNI-T UT527 is an entry-level portable PAT tester designed for basic electrical appliance safety testing. It provides a simple PASS/FAIL indication and is suitable for a range of testing applications, including Class I, Class II and IT equipment, IEC leads and extensions. The UT527 is designed for straightforward operation. In most applications, the appliance is connected to the tester and the appropriate test button is pressed to begin the test. Test results can then be recorded in a PAT testing logbook or other suitable record-keeping system. PASS/FAIL Indication The UT527 provides a simple PASS/FAIL indication for the testing procedure. Three-Button Test Activation The tester uses three buttons to select and activate the required test function. IEC and Mains Plug Connections The UT527 incorporates an IEC port and mains plug port. IEC leads, including those commonly used with laptop power supplies, can be connected directly to the tester. Standard three-pin plug appliances can be connected to the mains socket on the front of the instrument. Testing Applications The UT527 can be used to test Class I, Class II and IT equipment, IEC leads and extensions. Testing of 110V and 415V equipment is also possible when used with the appropriate optional adaptors.
