Our 12 Months 2023 Blue Velvet Diary is inspired by a piece of velvet dalmatic from the XV<+>th century, decorated with metal threads with a shield with seven lobes, a botanical form similar to an artichoke and small floral motifs. Realizing such a velvet model had to involve a long process, thereby making a luxury fabric in the Renaissance era.
