Poppy Orientale Royal Wedding has beautiful glistening white petals with a dark centre on each bloom. These are nectar-rich flowers so great for attracting bees and butterfliers. This variety is a hardy perennial and is easy to grow, perfect for adding in a sunny border to give a cottage garden feel. These plants are clump-forming, tough and produce over-sized flowers in early summer each year, followed by attractive seed heads. Height:60cm (24”). Spread: 50cm (20”). Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only. When growing Oriental Poppies, choose a sunny position in rich fertile, well drained soil. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply. Deadhead faded poppy flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Cut back old foliage to ground level in autumn. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Oriental poppy in spring.
