Pack of ten 35mm letterbox springs. Please note that these springs are suitable for traditional style letterboxes (eg. Victorian style). If your letterbox uses this type of spring you should be able to see the spring behind the flap. The spring slides over a long rod which also usually acts as a hinge for the flap. This type of letterbox is still manufactured, but there are also many modern styles which take much smaller springs. These modern styles are not easy to disassemble and (as far as we are aware) replacement springs are not available for them. The springs in this listing have an internal diameter suitable for rods up to 4.5mm diameter. The external diameter of the springs is 7.7mm. The arms are 24mm long. One arm may have to be shortened or bent to suit. It is difficult to provide fitting instructions for every type of letter plate, but our listing for 'cranked arm' letter plate springs contains instructions that may be helpful.
