This is my signature 4–6 ft slip lead — just 6 mm thin, yet strong, reliable, and highly responsive. Handcrafted to order with care and precision, it features a snug, spring-loaded push-button stopper and premium hand-cut, hand-stitched leather binding. Designed and made by me, Peter (P.E.S Dog Training) — professional dog trainer and behaviourist — this lead is built from high-quality polypropylene multifilament round rope with a durable inner core. I chose this material for its unique balance: strong and sturdy for clear, precise handling, yet exceptionally lightweight and soft in the hand. The responsive rope and slip design allow for subtle, gentle guidance. Pressure is applied and released quickly and smoothly, delivering clear information without force — especially effective with strong, determined medium to large breeds. The rope has a silky, smooth finish with a slight sheen. It floats, repels water, dries quickly, and is non-toxic, mildew- and rot-resistant. Easy to clean (washable up to 30 °C). At 6 mm, this lead offers — in my experience — the ideal balance between comfort, control, and responsiveness. An 8 mm version is also available for different handling preferences.
