Product description Colours were developed to appear in harmony with their respective wood species e.g. 426 Larch for Larch wood projects. The wood’s natural colour and character will influence the final result. Plus, the darker the colour, the stronger the UV-resistance. Please always trial apply! Product Advantages Osmo UV Protection Oil is a clear oil for use in outdoor areas Microporous surface allows the wood to breathe and reduces swelling and shrinkage. Water-repellent surface will not crack, peel, flake or blister. For a UV protection of factor 12, in comparison to untreated wood when 2 coats are applied Technical Spec Drying time: 12hrs* *under normal climate conditions, 23°C/50% R.H. Preparation Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%). UV Protection Oil is ready to use, please do not thin. Stir well before use. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed. Coverage 1 litre will cover approx 18m² with one coat (on smooth and planed/cut surfaces) Application Apply one coat to the clean and dry wood with a natural bristle brush or microfibre roller Allow to dry for approx 12 hours with good ventilation then apply a second coat Cleaning Clean tools with Osmo brush cleaner/thinners Storage / Shelf life Shelf life: Up to 5 years if kept dry and tightly closed. If thickened by frost then store at room temperature for 24-36 hrs at room temperature* before use Directions 1. Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free with a moisture content of max. 20%. 2. Stir the UV Protection Oil well before use. 3. Apply one coat to the clean and dry wood with a natural bristle brush or microfibre roller. 4. Allow to dry for approx 12 hours with good ventilation. 5. Apply a second coat after the first coat has dried. 6. Clean tools with Osmo brush cleaner/thinners. 7. Store the product in a dry place with a shelf life of up to 5 years.
