Existing oil finishes should be lightly sanded and cleaned before application Existing coatings such as paint and varnish must be fully removed by sanding or stripping back to bare wood Remove sanding dust thoroughly from the surface with a brush or vacuum cleaner before application Use white spirit to degrease and remove surface contaminates if required Any green growth or mould can be removed with Osmo Gard Clean Fill any holes or gaps with Osmo Exterior Gap Sealer Revive any greyed or sun damaged wood with Osmo Wood Reviver Gel Any end grain can be sealed with Osmo End Grain Sealing Wax If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood, if possible on all sides, with Osmo WR Base Coat Directions An essential part of using this product involves preparing the wood surface by ensuring it is clean, dry, and frost-free.
