Orchid Phalaenopsis Kolibri Portugal, also commonly known as a variety of Moth Orchid, is a beautifully unique indoor plant. Large, waxy, green leaves grow from the bottom of the plant, whilst flowers grow atop tall, elegant stems. Orchid flowers are incredibly exotic looking, and this variety boasts delicate, pale lilac blooms. This orchid can flower at any time of the year, and when it does, flowers last for a long period of up to three months. This orchid plant will grow best indoors, in a warm and bright spot. Orchids are incredibly easy to care for as long as they are not overwatered, as they will not tolerate sitting in waterlogged soil. Keep this plant warm, and only water occasionally for best results. Prune the stems after the flowerheads have died to keep the plant healthy and encourage new growth. Orchids are great for so many rooms in the home, or they’d make a fabulous gift for all occasions. Exotic flowers can add an eye-catching, ornamental touch to living rooms, bedrooms, and offices in a more elegant way than some larger house plants. They are also great gifts for plant lovers, or as a long-lasting alternative to flower bouquets.
