Nullifire SC802 Intumescent Steel Paint Overview Nullifire SC802 On-Site Water Based Intumescent Basecoat is a white, thin film intumescent coating for the protection of internal structural steelwork. Nullifire SC802 can provide up to 60 minutes fire resistance. Water based intumescent coating suitable for internal use on structural steelwork for up to 60 minute fire resistance “Next generation” product - with greater efficiency on site Compatible with a full range of Nullifire primers and top seals Very low VOC Application Like all fire protection work to structural steel, the amount of product required - the loading - varies depending on the Hp/A value of the steel members. Briefly the Hp/A value is an expression of its ability to absorb heat. The larger its surface area as a ratio of its mass, the quicker heat will be absorbed and the greater the Hp/A value. Primers Nullifire SC802 is applied to clean, dry primed steels. Please see our QD High Build Zinc Phosphate Primer for further information. Topcoat For internal steels, Nullifire SC802 does not require over-coating, however where a colour finish has been specified the use of a proprietary water based gloss or emulsion paint can be used. For external steels, Nullifire Sc802 requires a a topcoat which protects the steel from exposed weather conditions; we can supply a range of topcoats in both 1 pack & 2 pack finishes in 100's of colours. Certification Acknowledging the importance of fire protection, if requested we can arrange for certification to be issued for each project. This confirms the quantity of product supplied, the square meterage to be treated and confirms the level of fire protection specified. The applicator will also sign the document to confirm he has applied the material in accordance with the manufacturers specification.
